As the name suggests, Masterpiece Building & Design strives for perfection in the construction process from preliminary concept to detailed plans to finished product. Founded by Rick Dowden, Masterpiece actually traces its roots back to 1974 when Rick moved from Houston to Austin and began designing and converting businesses into music clubs and restaurants...primarily so he could play there as a musician director himself! Many remodeling jobs later under various companies, Rick took his knack for design to form Masterpiece with an experienced crew and network of contractors. As the saying goes, you're only as strong as your weakest link. After Rick completes a design, we use only highly skilled and experienced trades craftsmen and our own detail-oriented employees throughout the construction process.
