Masterpiece is creative and adaptable, working close with the client on design and construction details. We started out on this project trying to get creative solutions for stairways that were undersized and dangerous. The interior and exterior features from the 70’s (such as low ceilings, not enough light, old style texture, and out of date kitchen) lacked pizzazz needed for this couples taste. We raised the living room 16 feet to accommodate an 11 foot – 100 year old door the clients found on ebay. Our client’s art collection needed a home that felt like a museum, so rounded stairways, barrel ceilings and vibrant colors created a masterpiece. This innovative remodel won Best Large Remodeling Project 2004 from Austin NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry).
